The Department of Health and Ageing is calling for applications for funding under the National Rural and Remote Health Infrastructure Program (NRRHIP).
The Australian Government has allocated $46 million over four years (2008-09 to 2011-12) to improve opportunities for partnerships and multidisciplinary approaches to the delivery of health services in rural and remote communities through better access to funding for infrastructure and medical equipment.
The National Rural and Remote Health Infrastructure Program (NRRHIP) aims to:
Government grants of up to $500¸000 (GST exclusive) is available to eligible applicants seeking to provide services in rural and remote communities with populations of up to 20¸000 people.
All applicants must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or an Australian Company Number (ACN) to apply for funding under the National Rural and Remote Health Infrastructure Program (NRRHIP).
Applications must be lodged by 2pm 30 September 2010.
